LA MANITA
La Manita is our storefront located on Calle Soluna, 150m north of Calle Principal in Ojochal. Staffed by volunteers, the store is open
- Tuesdays 9am to 12pm, and
- Thursdays from 12pm to 3pm.
La Manita serves many functions:
Thrift Shop – here families in need received donated items at no cost, while others can purchase gently used clothing, household goods and other items for very low prices, starting at ₡500.
La Boutique Tienda – Our premium goods outlet, located directly behind La Manita, offers gently used, high quality items for prices ranging from ₡1,000 to ₡10,000. La Boutique Tienda is open
- Tuesday 9am to 12pm, and
- Thursday 12pm to 3pm.
Donation Center – Clothing, baby items, small household items, etc. can be delivered here for reuse by families. Larger items (major appliances, furniture, building material) can be donated by contacting FSCO to arrange pick-up/delivery.
The proceeds generated by La Manita and La Boutique directly support the services provided by the Family Support Center of Ojochal.
